David Klein (born 26 February 1991) is a German professional golfer. He won the 2016 Coca-Cola Queensland PGA Championship on the PGA Tour of Australasia in a one-hole playoff at City Golf Club, Toowoomba.[1][2] Earlier, he finished third at the 2014 New Zealand Open.[3]

Early life

Klein was born in Germany and emigrated to New Zealand with his family at age 12, later basing himself in Te Anau. He first picked up a golf club at the age of four and won the 2012 Taranaki Open on New Zealand’s Charles Tour. [3]

Professional career

Klein’s best result on the PGA Tour of Australasia is his win at the 2016 Coca-Cola Queensland PGA Championship (playoff vs Tim Hart).[4][5] Other notable results include third at the 2014 New Zealand Open, [3]as well as strong showings at Australasian events such as the Australian PGA Championship and Emirates Australian Open.[6]
