David J. Kramer is an American lawyer who is the founder of David J. Kramer Law Firm.[1][2]

Biography

Kramer, who was born in 1965 in Detroit, Michigan, attended North Farmington High School.[3] He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan in 1988 and a Juris Doctor from Wayne State University in 1991.[3]

Kramer is actively involved in community outreach and pro bono work. He is an active member of the Prison Fellowship, a non-profit organization that brings spiritual support to incarcerated individuals and their families, and Angel Tree, a non-profit that provides Christmas gifts to children on behalf of their incarcerated parents. Kramer also serves as a group leader for Bible Study Fellowship and provides pro bono legal services for underprivileged individuals. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.[3]

Notable cases

Kramer has represented clients in criminal law cases across fourteen states through pro hac vice admission and has worked alongside notable figures in the legal field, such as former attorney general Grant Woods. Among his many accomplishments include: successfully dismissed a murder case in Kentucky, a felony assault strangulation case dismissed in Colorado, and has won over 200 jury trials. His cross-examination of a coroner in the State of Michigan v. Al-Tantawi murder case has been recognized as a particularly significant achievement in his career.[4]

Accolades

Throughout his career, Kramer has received numerous accolades and recognitions for his work in criminal law. They have been named a Super Lawyer in criminal law since 2019 and have been listed among the National Trial Lawyers' Top 100 Trial Attorneys since 2015. He has also been a member of the National League of Renowned Attorneys since 2016 and has been recognized with several awards from legal organizations, including the AVVO People's Choice Award in 2015 and the American Institute of Trial Lawyers' Litigator of the Year in Criminal Law in 2019.[5]
