David Hernandez (born September 5, 1978) is a French mathematician working in representation theory and mathematical physics. . Hernandez was the recipient of the Jacques Herbrand Prize[1] and of the France-Berkeley fund award[2]. He defended his thesis in 2004[3] and has a been a Professor at Université Paris Cité since 2010[4]. Hernandez is a member of the Institut Universitaire de France[5] and he was a visiting scholar at University of California, Berkeley[6]. Hernandez was the principal investigator of the project Qaffine of the European Research Council[7][8].
