Darris Smith

Darris Smith (born September 18, 2003) is an American college football defensive end for the Missouri Tigers. He previously played for the Georgia Bulldogs.
Early life
Smith attended high school at Appling County High School. Coming out of high school, he was rated as a four star recruit, where he held offers from schools such as Tennessee, UNC, Auburn, Michigan State and South Carolina.[1]
Ultimately, Smith committed to play college football for the Georgia Bulldogs.[2]
College career
Georgia
He finished his freshman season in 2022, playing in 4 games. He won a national championship with the Bulldogs and logged a tackle in Georgia's 2022 Peach Bowl CFP Semifinal against Ohio State and the 2023 College Football Playoff National Championship against TCU.[3]
After playing in five games in the 2023 season at outside linebacker, he decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal.[4]
Missouri
Smith transferred to play for the Missouri Tigers.[5]
Prior to the start of the 2024 season, Smith suffered a knee injury and was ruled out for the season.[6]
In the 2025 season against Mississippi State, Smith had four tackles, two sacks, and three tackles for loss.[7]
