Darragh Ennis is an Irish scientist and quizzer. He is known as one of the "chasers" on the ITV game show The Chase.

Ennis grew up in Ireland and studied at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. Since 2013, he has been at the University of Oxford and is a postdoctoral researcher.[1][2]

In 2017, Ennis joined The Chase as a contestant, where he obtained £9000 (In cash builder round). Later on in the game his teammates took minus offers from ”chaser” of the episode, Paul Sinha, resulting in Ennis’ total winnings to be far lower than what he had scored in the first round.[3] This caused outrage from viewers, and a GoFundMe campaign was set up to compensate for Ennis’ losses.[4] Ennis’ requested for all money to be donated to charity.[4]

In April 2020, Ennis was the sixth “chaser” on The Chase, alongside Mark Labbett, Shaun Wallace, Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha and Jenny Ryan.[5][6]
