Dargalim is a small village of 2059 hectares in Pernem Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dargalim depends on PERNEM, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 4.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Dargalim is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Dargalim's pin code is 403513[5], and village code is 00002000. The area of Dargalim is segregated as 45.44 hectares irrigated area, 949.75 hectares unirrigated, the 393.32 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 670.65 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Dargalim has One post office (Dhagalim B.O) and Six public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Dargalim has One bank and One credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with One recreational center.

Dargalim is a census village in the district of North Goa, Goa. The village has a total population of 5696 and has total administration over 1331 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of PERNEM and North Goa to sell country liquor and make their living.
