Dantala is a small village of 721 hectares in Siwana Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dantala depends on BALOTRA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 19.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Dantala is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Dantala's pin code is 344044[4], and village code is 02162800. The area of Dantala is segregated as 19 hectares irrigated area, 267 hectares unirrigated, the 208 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 226.87 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BALOTRA and Barmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
