Danny Larsen is a Norwegian artist born in Oslo, in 1981. He currently still lives there with his family. The neo-pointillist style of his work often depicts the natural landscapes of his homeland. Before becoming a full-time artist, Larsen had a successful career travelling the world as a professional snowboarder.[1] [2]

In 2011, Larsen collaborated with K2 and Ride, exhibiting his work in Paris, Barcelona, Moscow and Vienna with the Snowboard Art Book by Pirate Movie Production.[3][4][5]

His professional career as an artist began in 2012 through a collaboration with the store Etnies, showcasing a range of his drawings at their flagship base in Amsterdam. He also created a signature shoe design for the brand - The RVS Danny Larsen.[6]

Larsen then went on to collaborate with Vallila and Norwegian black metal band Satyricon.[7][8][9][10]

Larsen officially informed his snowboarding sponsors in 2014 that he would be leaving the industry to pursue his artwork on a full-time basis.[11]

In 2018, Larsen collaborated with Michelin starred restaurant Maaemo, creating a range of artwork for the establishment. His work also features in their book Maaemo: Mutter Erde.[12]

In 2019, Larsen's work featured in the Red House Originals Group show exhibition in Liverpool.[13][14]

In 2021, The Kittelsen Museum in Norway hosted a sold-out exhibition of Larsen's latest works reflecting the darkness and isolation of being alone in nature.[15]

In 2022, the artist collaborated with the brand Maker Clothing.[16] In November 2022, the artist's debut UK solo exhibition From The Shadows opened at RedHouse Gallery in Harrogate.[17][18][19]
