Daniel Kim is a multi-award-winning American attorney,[1] founder of one of the country's most prestigious personal injury firms. He specializes in motor vehicle accidents and represents people who have been harmed by the negligence of other parties. Kim is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
Kim, throughout his career, has worked on several motor vehicle crash cases including pedestrian vs. auto, Uber & Lyft, truck, motorcycles, and bicycle vs. auto accidents. He is regarded as Orange County’s leading car accident attorney[2] and is recognized as one of the top personal injury attorneys in the U.S.
Kim is the recipient of 20 awards including the Martindale Hubbell Platinum Client Champion Award and has been featured in the Top 40 Under 40 National Trial Lawyers list, Top 10 Personal Injury Attorney in CA list, amongst other accolades.
Early life and education
While growing up, Kim desired to become a doctor or a lawyer, which eventually came true. After acquiring a bachelor of science degree in business administration and management from the University of Maryland College Park in 2007, Kim went through a traumatic experience where his wife met with a car accident, which resulted in him having a rather sore experience with the insurance companies. Kim, after this incident, decided to pursue law and enrolled in the Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law. Kim graduated in 2013. During his time there, he was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Fraternity, Asian Pacific American Law Student Association, and DRPA Certified Mediator.
Career
Kim started his career in 2003 as a paralegal at JAG, U.S. Army. He worked for seven years here, during which he also acted as a liaison and a Korean translator for high-profile international cases in Seoul, Korea.
In 2007 Kim joined Lee & Associates as a Personal Injury law clerk. He worked for over a year with this firm, during which he assisted in trial preparation, medical record reviews, and interviewing witnesses.
Kim became a legal summer associate in 2011 for Yulchon Law Firm, where he worked for a brief period and then joined the California State Board of Equalization as a legal extern. After working for five months here, Kim worked in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for a brief period as a judicial extern to Erithe A. Smith.
In 2014, Kim started his own personal injury law firm with the aim to help victims of motor vehicle accidents. Since its inception, Kim has obtained over $300 million in negotiated settlements and jury awards on behalf of his clients. The Law Offices of Daniel Kim,[3] since its inception, have expanded with offices in Anaheim, Irvine, Los Angeles, Cerritos, Riverside, Rancho Cucamonga, San Diego, Costa Mesa,[4] Whittier, San Jose, and Long Beach.
