Kim is licensed to practice law in California, Washington,[3] and Texas,[4] and is recognized as a member of both the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, an elite distinction awarded to less than 1% of attorneys nationwide.
As the founder and managing attorney of DK Law, Daniel Kim has successfully represented thousands of accident victims across the state, securing over $500 millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements. His firm specializes in car, truck, motorcycle, bicycle, pedestrian, Uber, and Lyft accident cases, as well as serious injury and wrongful death claims.
Widely recognized as one of California’s top personal injury lawyers, Kim has earned more than 20 professional awards for excellence and client satisfaction, including the Martindale Hubbell Platinum Client Champion Award. He is featured[5] in LA TIMES as Southern California’s Visionary Consumer Attorneys,[6] and The American Academy of Attorneys – 500 Million Dollar Club.
Known for his client-centered approach, relentless advocacy, and exceptional results, Attorney Daniel Kim continues to be regarded among the best personal injury lawyers in the United States, trusted by clients statewide for his experience, empathy, and record of success.
Early life and education
Daniel Kim grew up with a strong sense of service and ambition, characteristics that would later define his professional path. He attended the University of Maryland in 2007, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, graduating cum laude.
Following his undergraduate studies, Kim served in the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAG Corps) for 5 years, during which he was deployed to combat zones including Baghdad, Iraq and the area near the 38th Parallel between North and South Korea. His military service earned him two Army Commendation Medals for meritorious achievement.
After his military tenure, Kim pursued his legal education at Chapman University’s Dale E. Fowler School of Law, earning a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in 2012. He participated in Phi Alpha Delta, the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association, and completed DRPA mediator training.
His unique combination of military, legal, and business backgrounds laid a firm foundation for his work in personal injury law, driving his commitment to serving individuals harmed by negligence.
Career
Daniel Kim’s legal career is distinguished by a combination of military service, corporate legal experience, and entrepreneurial leadership in personal injury law.
Kim began his legal career as a paralegal with JAG, U.S. Army (2003–2010), including liaison and translation work on international matters in Seoul, South Korea. He later held roles at Lee & Associates as a personal-injury law clerk (2007–2008), served as a summer associate at Yulchon, and completed externships with the California State Board of Equalization and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court (chambers of Judge Erithe A. Smith).
He traveled internationally, including working in South Korea as an associate at a large international firm, before ultimately returning to build his own practice. After leaving military service, Kim worked at various law firms and in legal roles where he observed that many personal injury practices had lost client-focus.
In 2015, Daniel Kim founded The Law Offices of Daniel Kim, now known as DK Law – Injury, Accident, and More[7], focusing exclusively on personal injury and motor vehicle accident cases. Under his leadership, the firm has expanded its geographic footprint across California (serving counties such as Orange, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Riverside) and also cultivated networks of medical providers and trial resources. The firm emphasizes a “client-centered approach”, promising personalized attention to clients, timely communication, and the readiness to go to trial when necessary rather than only pursuing settlements. The firm works on a contingency-fee basis, meaning clients pay no upfront legal fees — only when a recovery is obtained.
Kim’s practice includes: Motor-vehicle collisions (car, truck, motorcycle, pedestrian, bicycle, rideshare), Premises liability (slip-and-fall, trip-and-fall), Animal attacks, particularly dog-bite claims.

Personal life
Daniel Kim was born in the United States to South Korean immigrant parents, growing up in a bilingual household that emphasized hard work, integrity, and service to others. From an early age, Kim expressed a desire to help people and make a meaningful impact in his community.
His decision to pursue a career in law was deeply personal. After his wife was involved in a serious car accident, Kim experienced firsthand the challenges of dealing with insurance companies and the frustration many victims face when seeking fair compensation. That event became the turning point that inspired him to become an advocate for injury victims and dedicate his professional life to personal injury law.
Kim is fluent in both English and Korean, allowing him to effectively represent a diverse client base throughout California and beyond. His cultural background and language proficiency have helped bridge communication gaps and strengthen his firm’s reputation among both English- and Korean-speaking communities.
