Daniel Bruttig is a multimedia artist. He is best known for his sculptures combining cuckoo clock components and thick paint[1] as well as his PVC cord on panel paintings.[2] Bruttig has cited inspiration from his childhood in rural Wisconsin[3]. Much of his work incorporates a range of color[4] and diverse material such as steel wool, thermoplastic adhesive[5] glue and crayon.[6] Art critics have noted his use of juxtaposition, such as the beautiful and the grotesque[7] or the baroque and domestic DIY.[8]

His artwork has been compared to the automated paintings of Franz West.[9]
