Danbi Education Co., Ltd. (Korean: 주식회사 단비교육) is a South Korean education technology company headquartered in Seoul. Established in 2016, the company provides tablet-based blended learning programs for early childhood and elementary education. Its flagship brands include Wink and CATS. As of 2025, the company is majority-owned by Anchor Equity Partners.[1]
History
The company was established in Seoul in 2016. It experienced rapid growth in the domestic market driven by its primary service, Wink.[2] By 2021, ETNews reported that the company had recorded ₩90 billion in annual revenue.[2]
In November 2023, Danbi Education filed a preliminary application for an initial public offering (IPO) on the KOSDAQ market.[3] However, in June 2024, amid a broader trend of companies postponing listings due to unfavorable market conditions, the company withdrew its IPO plans.[4]
Following the withdrawal of the IPO, The Korea Economic Daily Global reported in June 2025 that the majority shareholder, Anchor Equity Partners, initiated a process to sell its stake in the company.[1]
In 2025, the company expanded its operations internationally. Indonesian business magazine SWA reported the launch of a localized version of the Wink service in Indonesia.[5]
