Dana Chavez-Rey is a native of California born in San Bruno. She is a pet groomer with over 20 years of experience running her business, A Purrfect Groomer Mobile Pet Salon and is an established feline grooming educator for Andis.
Dana began educating on feline grooming in 2013 and was chosen by Andis in 2018 to be the exclusive feline educator for them and her book, Meow-Wow The Complete Guide to Feline Grooming was published in 2021 by Barkleigh.
As an Andis global educator, Dana speaks at pet expos across the country, including Canada and Puerto Rico. During these seminars, she has gained popularity as the only educator offering a different point of view from traditional feline educators. Her desire to bring longevity to a cat's life is what drives her to educate, advocate and groom by example.
