Dallas Dixon (born May 18, 1984), is the stage name of Canadian television host and producer, Stephen Krajinovic.[1] Dixon is best known for being a reporter on Entertainment Tonight Canada. He is the host of OutTV's drag reality competition series, Call Me Mother. In 2023, Dallas won a Canadian Screen Awards for his work on ET Canada.[2]

Early Life

Dixon was born on May 18, 1984 in Welland.[3] He attended Niagara College's Broadcasting: Radio, Television and Film Program. He is of Croatian and Italian descent.[3]

Dixon has stated in interviews that he grew up watching Entertainment Tonight and the program inspired him to go to school to become a reporter, eventually working for the Canadian version, Entertainment Tonight Canada.

Career

After completing studies at Niagara College, Dixon moved to Toronto for an internship with CMT (Canadian TV channel) where he was hired and stayed for over 10 years, producing the Canadian Country Music Association award-winning Chevrolet Top 20 countdown among other series and radio shows for the network. Dallas also got his start on-air appearing as himself on various series on the network.

In 2018, Dixon joined Entertainment Tonight Canada where he worked as a full-time producer and became the programs pride reporter. During his time at ET Canada, Dixon interviewed many high-profile stars including Sigourney Weaver, Elliot Page, Lily Tomlin, Kim Petras, Charli XCX, Billy Eichner, Bowen Yang, Little Mix, Brendan Fraser, Joe Jonas, John Krasinski, Jennifer Coolidge, Billy Porter & many more.

Dixon also travelled around the world to various film and television sets and interviewed the casts of series such as Riverdale (American TV series), Hawaii Five-0 (2010 TV series) & Schitt's Creek.

In 2020, Dixon was a special guest on RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars winner Trinity the Tuck's drag series, Love for the Arts.

In 2021, Dixon began hosting OutTV (Canadian TV channel)'s most-watched original series to date, Call Me Mother OUTtv for two seasons so far.[4][5][6][7]

In 2023, Dallas hosted the half-hour primetime special, One on One with Kylie Minogue. Dixon was part of the program until it's cancellation in 2023.[8][9][10][11]
