Dallas Avon Logan II (born November 18, 1982) is an American retired professional basketball player. He played professionally for 12 years, competing in multiple countries and earning several honors throughout his career. In college, Logan was an honorable mention All-American and a three-time All-GLIAC First Team selection at Northwood University, where he finished as the fourth all-time leading scorer in school history.
High school career
Logan attended Loyola High School in Detroit, Michigan, where he played varsity basketball for 3 years. He graduated in 2000 as a First Team All-State selection and served as class valedictorian. He remains the all-time leading scorer in school history with 1,610 points and is the only athlete in Loyola High School history to have his jersey number retired.
College career
From 2000 to 2004, Logan played college basketball at Northwood University. He finished his career as the fourth all-time leading scorer in program history with 1,801 points and ranked first among scorers since 1990. In his senior season, he led the team in scoring (20.2 ppg), rebounding (4.6 rpg), and assists (3.8 apg), becoming the only player in school history to do so. He earned All-GLIAC First Team honors for three consecutive years and received All-American honorable mention recognition in his final season. Logan played in 109 career games and helped lead Northwood to multiple conference tournament appearances.[1]
Professional career
After college Logan began a 12-year professional basketball career playing for teams in the Netherlands, Latvia, Germany, Finland, France, Mexico, Venezuela, Argentina, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, and Puerto Rico. In 2010, he was named Ciba Copa Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year, and Guard of the Year while leading his team Caballeros de Culiacan to a Ciba Copa Mexico Championship.[2] Logan participated in multiple international leagues and all-star games throughout his career.
