Vanessa Mossman, better known by her stage name Daisy De La Hoya, is an American reality television star, actress and media personality. She is best known for her appearance on hit VH1 reality series Rock of Love with Bret Michaels season 2.[1] Due to her popularity on Rock of Love, she received her own dating show titled; Daisy of Love.[2][3][4]

Television career

De La Hoya's first television appearance was on the second season of VH1's hit reality series; Rock of Love with Bret Michaels.[5] She was the runner-up, losing to Ambre Lake.[6][7] During the reunion special she got in to a physical altercation with Rock of Love with Bret Michaels season 1 contestant Heather Chadwell.[8][9][10][11][12] Tina Fey would parody De La Hoya's appearance on Rock of Love, on an episode of Saturday Night Live.[13] After her appearance on Rock of Love she appeared on VH1: All Access and hosted exclusive interviews for VH1.com, interviewing the contestants for VH1 spin off I Love Money season 1.

In 2009 De La Hoya received her own dating show named; Daisy of Love[2][3][4] due to her popularity on Rock of Love. The show premiered April 26 and featured 20 male contestants.[14] Joshua "London" Lee won the show, the two briefly dated after the show finished airing.[15][16][17]

De La Hoya made multiple other television appearances including; E! True Hollywood Story, Up Close with Carrie Keagan, Chelsea Lately, Reality Obsessed and in 2013 documentary Skum Rocks!. She also made multiple appearances in films such as; Pageant vs. Playmate, Hick and 51 The Movie.[18][19]

Personal life

De La Hoya openly struggles with alcohol and drug addiction, in 2008 she controversially posted a semi-nude photo of herself to her MySpace profile which featured lines of cocaine.[20][21] In May 2009 she was rushed to hospital due to a reported possible drug overdose.[22][23] In 2010 she checked herself in to a rehab facility after a suicide attempt.[24][25] In 2024 American actor Corey Feldman, Jennifer Gimenez and Tim Ryan helped place De La Hoya in to a rehab facility[26] after De La Hoya was accused of stalking 90 Day Fiancé stars Mariah Fineman and Tom Brooks.[27][28][29][30][31][32][33][34]

De La Hoya was dating Canadian actor Corey Haim up until his death in 2010.[35][36][37][38]
