Dai Kaht is a Finnish progressive rock band. Founded in Kajaani in 2013, the band's style is a subgenre of progressive rock called zeuhl.[1][2]
Like their main influence, the French band Magma, Dai Kaht sings most of their songs in their own artificial language called Kolöniel.
Dai Kaht’s songs are part of a concept that focuses on future space colonialism. In the band's story, the ship Doover Üouh ("Father 5") leaves Earth for its mission to secure the survival of humanity in the future. At the heart of the story are the settlement of the new planet Dai Kaht ("Great planet" in Köloniel)
Dai Kaht has been affiliated with the French record company Soleil Zeuhl since February 2020.[3]
