Dahra is a small village of 449 hectares in Thanagazi Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dahra depends on VIRATNAGAR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 18.00% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Dahra is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Dahra's pin code is 301022[4], and village code is 00881600. The area of Dahra is segregated as 176 hectares irrigated area, 104 hectares unirrigated, the 35 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 134 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of VIRATNAGAR and Alwar to sell carpet making and make their living.
