Cynthia Talmadge (born 1989, New York) is a New York based artist best known for her paintings, photographs, and immersive installations, all of which delve into the enigmatic and dark facets of contemporary Americana and tabloid culture.[1] She is currently represented by 56 Henry in New York.

Talmadge’s 2018 solo exhibition in New York, titled "1076 Madison," showcased a series of eight paintings centered around the Frank E. Campbell funeral home [2] [3]. In her 2017 debut solo show, "Leaves of Absence," [4] Talmadge presented life-sized photographs of meticulously crafted sets portraying scenarios of celebrity rehabilitation. Accompanying these images were an architectural installation that reconstructed a fragment of an imagined room from McLean Hospital. Talmadge's approach involves reinterpreting spaces like funeral parlors or treatment centers through artistic conventions such as pointillism and midcentury melodramas.
