Cusrow Wadia Institute of Technology

Pune, India's Cusrow Wadia Institute of Technology, is a polytechnic school. The Modern Education Society of Pune established it in 1938.

Prin. V. K. Joag, an educationalist, and Sir Cusrow Wadia, an entrepreneur, created the Modern Education Society in Pune in 1932. Society founded a department of applied electrical at its institution in 1938. The Institute now offers a broad range of courses.

When it came to electronics, Sir Wadia was a firm believer in their importance to Indian manufacturing. After the establishment of the Institute, he made a number of contributions. In addition, he would regularly invite luminaries to talk to the students at the university. A leader of the Society, Joag strived to expand and develop the Institute as part of his duties.
