Current Year is an american pop punk band from St. Louis, Missouri. Current Year are lead vocalist, bassist and guitarist Andrew Gruhala, drummer and vocalist Mat Mellor and guitarist and bassist Logan Griffin.

History

Current Year formed in 2016. Logan Griffin (guitar and bass) announced the bands formation on the Current Year YouTube channel in a cover, after their cover of Swimming Pool by The Front Bottoms blew up three years prior. In September of 2016 Andrew Gruhala (lead vocals, guitar, bass), Mat Mellor (drums, vocals) and Logan Griffin announced their upcoming live EP called Okay, I Get It. The live EP came out October 31st, 2017.

In early February 2018 Current Year announced their debut LP. Early 2019 they released their two singles Pass-A-Fire (January 25th) and Good Job![1] (February 25th) On March 28th they released their debut album Current Year.[2]
