Curchirem is a small village of 771 hectares in Bicholim Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Curchirem depends on BICHOLIM, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and One spring. Curchirem is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Curchirem's pin code is 403513[5], and village code is 00009500. The area of Curchirem is segregated as 13.13 hectares irrigated area, 601.87 hectares unirrigated, the 113.01 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 42.66 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Curchirem has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Curchirem is a census village in the district of North Goa, Goa. The village has a total population of 2043 and has total administration over 435 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BICHOLIM and North Goa to sell sugar cane and make their living.
