Cudnem is a small village of 991 hectares in Bicholim Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Cudnem depends on SANQUELIM, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 6.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Cudnem is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Cudnem's pin code is 403505[5], and village code is 00010200. The area of Cudnem is segregated as 26.71 hectares irrigated area, 342.49 hectares unirrigated, the 163.24 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 458.68 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Cudnem has One post office (Cudne B.O) and Two public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Cudnem has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with One recreational center.

Cudnem is a census village in the district of North Goa, Goa. The village has a total population of 3308 and has total administration over 763 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of SANQUELIM and North Goa to sell wooden furnitur and make their living.
