Craig Douglas (born on February 7 1986) is a British Screenwriter, Producer and Film Director. Over the years he studied the work of Steven Spielberg, James Cameron and Martin Scorsese, which taught him how to make films and write screenplays. When he was young he started writing short stories with his younger brother Callum, he would go on to make short videos and clips for friends and family.

They went on to start their own production company CCD Productions, using this label on videos and clips made for local companies. In 2019 Craig founded a new production company Pine Barrens Pictures [1], this he named after his favourite episode of the globally successful HBO show The Sopranos|The Sopranos'. In 2021 he formed the distribution and production company Douglasfilm Ltd.

He was a Kickstarter contributor on the Documentary Cleanin' Up The Town: Remembering Ghostbusters. He had a brief cameo in the highly rated BBC show Peaky Blinders (TV series). He has a number of titles on his resume including films that featured Doctor Who and The Hobbit (film series) star Sylvester McCoy and monster actor Doug Jones (actor). In 2020 he featured in the true crime documentary Lee Duffy: Too Far, Too Soon. He is currently writing the short film The Woman in the Room which is based on the short story by the best selling Horror writer Stephen King. Craig is rumoured to be linked to the new project from football star Thierry Henry and Entourage (American TV series) creator Doug Ellin.

Early life

Craig Douglas was born on February 7 1986 at The Park Side Hospital in central Middlesbrough, he was raised 4.8 miles down the road in the small town of Grangetown, North Yorkshire. Born to parents Terence Wilkinson a former Steel Worker and Janice Douglas and is the eldest of eight children. He attended Grangetown Primary School until the age of eleven, he then went on to Gillbrook Technology College but dropped out at the age of fifteen to go and get a job. Teachers said it was a shame that he dropped out because he showed great interest in creative writing, drama and also for art and drawing.

Personal life

He is married to Claire, they met in 2008 when Craig was working as a nightclub Bouncer. They married in June 2015 and have one son together who was born in 2013. Claire is now the Executive Producer on Craig's projects and within his production company. Douglas resides in the Middlesbrough area as it is close to his family and life long friends.
