Coveo Solutions Inc. is a Canadian enterprise software company headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.[1]

The company develops artificial-intelligence-based search and recommendations software used for customer service, digital commerce, workplace productivity, and website content discovery. It is publicly traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the ticker CVO.[2]

History

Coveo originated as a spin-off from Copernic Technologies, which announced the creation of Coveo Solutions in 2004 to focus on enterprise search and knowledge access software.[3][4]

In 2008, Louis Têtu, former chief executive of Taleo, joined as chairman and later became chief executive officer.[5]

In 2025, Têtu transitioned to full-time Executive Chair. Laurent Simoneau became CEO.[6]

Acquisitions

In July 2019, Coveo acquired the Italian start-up Tooso, a developer of AI search technology for digital commerce.[7]

In October 2021, Coveo purchased UK-based Qubit, a personalization-software provider, extending its presence in European e-commerce.[8][9]

Funding and IPO

In April 2018, Coveo received a US$100 million investment from Evergreen Coast Capital, an affiliate of Elliott Management.[10]

In November 2019, it raised C$227 million in a round led by OMERS Private Equity, valuing the company at over US$1 billion.[11]

Coveo went public in November 2021, raising C$215 million on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol CVO.[12][13]

Products and technology

Coveo introduced Coveo for Salesforce in 2012, enabling Salesforce users to retrieve unified search results from CRM records, support cases, and other enterprise systems within the Salesforce interface.[14]

Coveo’s technology has since expanded beyond enterprise search to support AI-driven relevance across commerce, customer service, website, and workplace applications.[15]
