Cotorem is a small village of 533 hectares in Satari Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Cotorem depends on VALPOI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Cotorem is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Cotorem's pin code is 403506[5], and village code is 00017600. The area of Cotorem is segregated as 47.47 hectares irrigated area, 406.5 hectares unirrigated, the 12.81 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 60.45 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Cotorem has One post office (Cotorem B.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Cotorem has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Cotorem is a census village in the district of North Goa, Goa. The village has a total population of 624 and has total administration over 139 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of VALPOI and North Goa to sell mango pickle and make their living.
