Cotombi is a small village of 367 hectares in Bicholim Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Cotombi depends on PALE, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Cotombi is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Cotombi's pin code is 403505[5], and village code is 00010500. The area of Cotombi is segregated as 6.01 hectares irrigated area, 96.38 hectares unirrigated, the 47.92 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 216.47 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Cotombi has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with One recreational center.

Cotombi is a census village in the district of North Goa, Goa. The village has a total population of 591 and has total administration over 128 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of PALE and North Goa to sell iron ore and make their living.
