Corgao is a small village of 2209 hectares in Pernem Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Corgao depends on PARCEM, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and One spring. Corgao is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Corgao's pin code is 403512[5], and village code is 00000500. The area of Corgao is segregated as 9.61 hectares irrigated area, 1524.31 hectares unirrigated, the 237.53 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 437.08 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Corgao is a census village in the district of North Goa, Goa. The village has a total population of 6639 and has total administration over 1497 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of PARCEM and North Goa to sell country liquor and make their living.
