Connor Falcon Samir Ross Keyhani (born Conj Samir Keyhani on December 6, 1988) is an American actor. Born in Grand Prairie, Texas, he is best known for his roles in the movies Headgame, Pirate Camp, and Driftwood.[1]
Early life
Conj Samir Keyhani was born December 6, 1988 in Grand Prairie, Texas to Amy Ross and Armin Keyhani. He has two brothers named Carson and Taylor. Raised in Dallas, Texas, Ross displayed a strong interest in acting from a young age. During this time, he developed skills in acting and music, which would later become central to his career.[2]
Ross later changed his name from Conj Keyhani to Connor Ross in 1999, opting for a more traditional and recognizable name to better connect with audiences due to his Egyptian-American heritage.
Shortly after the name change, Ross began pursuing professional acting opportunities, landing roles in commercials for KFC, Taco Bell, and McDonald's.[3]
Career
From a young age, Ross exhibited a unique talent and a natural rapport with people, leading him to express a desire to "be in movies". His parents initially supported his ambitions locally in Texas by connecting him with an agency and enrolling him in acting classes. However, Ross had bigger aspirations and strategically planned his move to Los Angeles, California at age 13 to pursue his acting career.
Ross first entered the entertainment industry as a determined young actor, landing early roles in television series such as 7th Heaven, Las Vegas, and Surface.[4] His dedication to the craft led him to explore various genres, from drama to suspense, as he honed his skills in front of the camera.
Ross' persistence began to pay off as he secured even more roles in both television and film. He appeared in episodes of popular TV series such as Castle and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.[5] In film, he portrayed characters like Jonathan in Driftwood[6] and Andrew in Palo Alto, CA. His roles as Nick in Headgame[7] and Vic Florins in Pirate Camp[8] is among some of his most notable performances.
Ross has honed his craft under the guidance of various acting coaches and institutions, including Diana Castle at The Imagined Life, Leigh Kilton Smith for audition technique and scene study, and Max Decker for improv and scene study. He has also trained in martial arts, holding a black belt in Tae Kwon-Do from ATA Academy. His diverse skill set extends to physical training, yoga, meditation, guitar,[9] singing, and various sports such as basketball, volleyball, and golf.[10]
Since 2013, Ross has become an acting coach for child actors at various acting workshops[11][12][13], most specifically at iPop and their associated workshops at Acting and Modeling Auditions.[14]
Personal life
Ross' heritage is a blend of Middle Eastern American and Caucasian descent.[15]
He is now married to Samantha Droke, an actress who he had met on the set of a episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in 2009. They married in 2018. As of 2025, they now have three children together.[16]
