Codvol is a small village of 887 hectares in Satari Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Codvol depends on VALPOI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Codvol is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on River. Codvol's pin code is 403530[5], and village code is 00016200. The area of Codvol is segregated as 0.29 hectares unirrigated, the 3.19 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 12.65 hectare area not available for cultivation.
