Claire Williams was born in Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia and attended Figtree High School before studying a Bachelor of Science at the University of Wollongong. She is a prolific, published author having written Essays in Ornithology, Essays in Environmental Management, My NDIS Nightmare and The Service animal . She has multiple postgraduate degrees including a Masters in Environmental Management and Graduate Diploma in Ornithology from Charles Sturt University, New South Wales and is a current Doctor of Philosophy candidate and is concurrently studying a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She is an academic teaching at various TAFE, RTOs and University, and is also a qualified and experienced cat and dog groomer, trainer, behaviourist and veterinary nurse. She is a licenced microchip implantter, Assistance Dog assessor, Greyhound assessor and has been employed for the State and Federal Government in various roles. She currently operates Kitty Kapers and CLW Consulting in Wollongong and Sydney, New South Wales. She is also a member of Mensa International, the Gold Key Honour Society and several other organisations and institutions. She has served on the board of directors of several charities and currently trains therapy and assistance dogs in her spare time.
