Cin Lam Mung[1] (born Kalay, Sagaing Region Myanmar on August 28, 1997) is professionally known by his stage name Key Mung[2], is a Burmese singer of ethnic Zomi descent. He debuted one minute[3] Solo in 2022. The 10th Annual Chin TV Awards[4]2023 Team is pleased to inform and congratulate him on being named one of the nominees for the esteemed title of Chin New Artist of the Year and Chin Music Video of the Year by Itna.[5]
Early life and education
Cin Lam Mung[1] was born on August 28, 1997 in Budiman and Sihzang to parents, Khual pu and Dim Sian Cing, of Zomi descent. He is the second son and have one brother and three sisters. Cin, a member of the Zomi ethnic group, grew up in Yauh Cho Kwin[6] a small, rural village. The isolated village didn't even have a telephone, but it had plenty of music. Even though their village didn't have a lot of technology, their Church did have some really old microphones, instruments and huge, old loudspeakers, that made music interesting for him. As Christians in the predominantly Buddhist country, Cin's people often faced religious persecution. In 2008, his father - a Church leader targeted by the military - came to the United States as a religious refugee. The rest of the family followed in 2013, resettling in St. Louis. He went to St. Louis Community College[7] (Associate of CyberSecurity) and currently study of Computer Science at UMSL[1] (BS of CyberSecurity).
Career
His passion and dream is becoming a singer therefore he relocated to the Kalay from Budiman. He began his music career in 2013 while still a High School student. In 2021, the twenty four-year-old Cin, then a second-year sophomore college student. As same year on October 21, he released single song called "Muan Huai Zaw" post on Zomiworship collective page and his Youtube Offical page which earned 3.9K views with in 3 years.[8] Cin received 10th Annual Chin TV Awards[4]nominees by Itna[5] for the esteemed title of Chine New Artist of the Year, and Chin Music Video of the Year. Also, he debuted by one minute[3],Samuel Suttawng[9] who is songwriter for him. In 2022, he recorded "Nang A Ding Om Den Ning[10]",his first an album of 15 love songs, under the stage name Key Mung[2]. In 2023, he recorded his second album of Lamdang Nong Itna.[11]
Other Donation
Cin was inspired to use his lifelong passion for music to help the people of Myanmar. He recorded "Nang A Ding Om Den Ning[2]", an album of 15 love songs has sold copies to raise money to benefit those affected by the coup. In September 2022, he promoting it on Zomi National TV[12] which reach Zomi refugees[13] in numerous countries, and through his church, Cin sold enough copies to feed 31 families in Yauh Cho Kwin[6] for three months. Each family received bulk packages of rice, noodles and oil. On July 30, 2023, he released a second album called "Lamdang Nong Itna" on his Facebook page which earned 1.8K views with in 2 weeks. Also, he did same thing in this year as well but he feed 18 families and 14 pastor's families in Yauh Cho Kwin.[6] This photo is of donated food in the Village of Yauh Cho Kwin
