Chrystal Snow (born July 11, 1972) is a Canadian actress, producer, writer and model. She has starred in several films and television series such as the independent film "Garroter" released in 2016 and the streaming series "Angel Dust" in 2022.
Early Life
Born in Thunder Bay, Chrystal spent her teen years raised by living with her single mother and sister. She fell into acting by accident. She has been modeling since she was 12 years old[1] and through that profession, she met one of the stars from “The Trailer Park Boys,” Bernard Robichaud who played Cyrus.
When Chrystal turned 19 she relocated to British Columbia, Canada where she married Darren Snow and raised her two children: Michelle and Dayton. </ref> In 2000, Chrystal relocated to Alberta where she gave birth to her youngest child Darika. Chrystal managed restaurants and acted in independent film and TV shows while learning to produce movies and TV series herself.
Career
Acting
Chrystal's first big break was her role in 2015 after being noticed on social media. She landed in the film, “Garroter” in Detroit. In the indie horror movie from directors Benn Perry and Joey Harlow, Chrystal portrayed “Faith Blakely,” a dancer that tried to help other girls stay away from abusive men. It was a role that resonates in her own life with a quote: “I am that woman that helps other women.” The film was released in 2016 and premiered on streaming with Apple TV in Canada.[2]
More roles that she has starred in are the action crime thriller "Be Somebody" in 2018 as a hostess and the anthology horror film "Cemetery Stories" in 2022, during the segment "Bloodfire of the Satanic Warlock Ritual" as Angel. Chrystal has since also starred in several short films.
Writing and Producing
In 2022, Snow co-created the streaming series "Angel Dust"[3] and stars along side Daniel Baldwin, Devon F. Burdeyney, and Sarah Ortman. Snow plays Christine Cox, a woman that Gabriel helps after he loses his wings for disobeying God. Gabriel is banished from heaven and sent to earth to help the humans.[4] Ortman co-stars as Luci (the devil.)[5] "Angel Dust" premiered on Amazon Prime in Canada.[6]
Upcoming projects
A second season of "Angel Dust" is in pre-production.[7] Along with several other projects, Chrystal is also involved in producing the new horror film "Swamp Fear" and stars as Corrine.[8]
