Christos Antoniou is a Greek composer and founding member of the bands Septicflesh and Chaostar. He is known for blending symphonic music with metal, and for his collaborations with international orchestras and choirs.
Education
He studied at the London College of Music under composition head Martin Ellerby and earned a master's degree in composition and orchestration from Adam Gorb, head of the Royal Northern College of Music. There, he trained in contemporary classical music, orchestration, and composition for symphonic ensembles, laying the foundation for his signature style that bridges the world of symphonic music with extreme metal.
Septicflesh
Christos Antoniou founded the band Septicflesh in 1990 with his brother Spyros Antoniou (Seth Siro Anton) and Sotiris Vagenas (Sotiris Anunnaki V.). They have released 11 studio albums, combining symphonic death metal with orchestral elements.

- Made In Vain (Documentary, 2025): Directed by Michalis Klioumis, focusing on the world of professional bodybuilding. Antoniou's music gives a symphonic and dramatic tone to the film, which premiered at the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival.
Chaostar
Chaostar was founded in 1998 by Christos Antoniou as an outlet for more experimental and theatrical forms of music. They have released 5 albums, with the most recent being The Undivided Light (2018, Season of Mist).

He has worked with orchestras such as the FILMharmonic Orchestra Prague (known for its participation in the movie Hostel), as well as ensembles across Europe and Latin America.
