Christopher Upton Browne is the Director of the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum[1]. After active service in the Navy[2] as an F-14 Radar Intercept Officer, Chris Served in the Navy reserves before leaving as a Commander.[3] In 1988 Chris began working for MWAA as an operations specialist before becoming the director of Reagan National Airport[4] and later Dulles International Airport.[5][5]In 2017 Chris Joined NASM as deputy director.[5] After serving as interim director[5] in 2018 and 2021, Chris was awarded the directorship in 2022.
