Christopher Duffy is a British product designer and the founder of furniture design company Duffy London. His design work is characterised by playful designs, use of illusion and sustainable materials.
Early life and education
Christopher Duffy graduated from the University of Brighton with a BA in product design.
Career
Christopher Duffy founded Duffy London in 2002 after gaining attention for his innovative approach to furniture design.
Duffy is also the founder and chief design officer of the sustainable boat company Chorus (formerly known as Hari Pontoon),[1] a climate tech start-up developing novel materials and engineering processes to build low-carbon recreational water vessels.

- The Swing Table: This piece brings a playful element into dining by incorporating swings as seats around a suspended table.[2]
- The Abyss Table: A layered glass and wood table that simulates the depths of the ocean.[3]
- The UP Balloon Coffee Table: A playful table that uses the illusion of gold and silver balloons floating under a glass surface to hold it up.[4]
Impact and recognition
Christopher Duffy's work has been exhibited internationally and has received various accolades. The Abyss Table was acquired by the Musée des Arts Décoratifs at The Louvre, Paris to become part of the permanent French National Collection.
Duffy's designs are often featured in design publications and pieces have been exhibited at events including Art Basel, Art Miami, 100% Design, PAD London, and Clerkenwell Design Week. They have been acquired by Sylvester Stallone, Prince, and Miley Cyrus, along with companies including Google, Hudson Yards, and Four Seasons Hotels.
