Christine Nichols is a British Entrepreneur, creating businesses within the Transport and Logistics sector.[1].

She is also a speaker and panellist focusing on equality for women[2][3].

Christine is a founder and director of Atlantic Pacific Group Ltd [4]which was awarded a FEBE Award in 2023 for being the 21st fastest growing founder led company in the UK with a turnover between £3million - £200 million[5].

Christine is the chairwomen of Unity In Community Ltd[6], Atlantic Pacific Group’s charitable foundation, a trustee and director of Lady McAdden Breast Cancer Trust[7], a supporter of Havens Hospices Ltd[8] [9]and a ‘Wavemaker’ for Billericay Town Women’s FC[10].

She is also the first chairwomen of the London Freight Club in the clubs 70 year history[11].[12]

Personal life

Christine Nichols was born in Whitechapel, London in 1959. She worked in Cyprus, Israel, Australia and New Zealand between 1984 and 1989. She is married to Ashley Nichols, also a founder and director of Atlantic Pacific Group Ltd.

Business

Atlantic Pacific Group Ltd, formed in 2000 is the parent company to Atlantic Pacific Global Logistics Ltd, Killick Martin & Company, Port Express Ltd and Freedom Logistics Ltd. Atlantic Pacific Group Ltd also own Atlantic Pacific Global Logistics companies in Ireland and the USA.

Awards

Atlantic Pacific Global Logistics Ltd won the British International Freight Association’s Freight Services Award for Ocean Services in 2005 and 2020[13] and its Supply Chain Management Award in 2006.

Killick Martin & Company Ltd won the British International Freight Association’s Freight Services Award for Supply Chain Management in 2021[14] and European Services in 2022[15]

Charity & Community

Atlantic Pacific Global Logistics Ltd has and provided sponsorship and logistics services to a number of charitable organisations and community groups. They also have their own charitable foundation, Unity In Community Ltd, chaired by Christine Nichols and supported by Tony Cottee as patron.

Between 2014 and 2019 they also provided logistical services and sponsorship to Essex Cultural Diversity and Metal Culture Ltd for their Village Green Festival and Global Village stage in Southend-on-Sea.

In 2021 they provided services and sponsorship to Havens Hospices Ltd’s art trail Hares About Town and Wild In Art Ltd’s Gratitude national exhibition which displayed in Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham and London.

In 2023 they sponsored a light festival called Luminosity and an exhibit and stage within the festival called DiscoCity. They also provided services and sponsorship to Havens Hospices Ltd’s art trail Herd In The City.
