Career

Meunier began his career at Ford in France in 1992. In 1996, he worked for Land Rover before joining the American division of Mercedes-Benz.[2] Later, in 2002, he returned to France and began a professional tenure at Nissan, where he held management positions in both Nissan and Infiniti, the luxury vehicle division of the company, before being named Infiniti's global president in January 2019.[3]

During his tenure at Infiniti, the brand launched at 2019 Detroit Auto Show its first electric vehicle, the QX Inspiration Concept.[4]

Four months after being named Infiniti’s global president[5], in May 2019, he was hired as global president of Jeep and a member of the FCA’s Group Executive Council.[6] As Jeep CEO, the brand implemented the 4xe drivetrain system to power a line-up of PHEV four-wheel drive vehicles.

In March 2021, Meunier re-introduced the 2022 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer.[7] An electric version of the Wagoneer will be released in 2025.

He has been described as a “gregarious Frenchman with a reputation for speaking bluntly”.[9]
