Christer Windeløv-Lidzélius (born 1971) is a Swedish professor, author, entrepreneur and consultant, based in Denmark. He is the CEO and rector of Kaospilot in Denmark. He holds professorships at Elisava School of Design and Technology, Saint Paul Business School and Stockholm School of Dramatic Arts.

He works as a consultant for several companies and chairs the board of Cemecon Scandinavia[1].

Career

Windeløv-Lidzélius was born in Lidköping, Sweden. After graduating as a Kaospilot in 1998 he was a founder and partner in the consulting company Learningship Group in Norway focusing on leadership development, before embarking on a career in startups, business development and investment in companies such as Modem Bad[2], Melvær & Lien[3] and Link AS.

In 2006 Windeløv-Lidzélius was appointed CEO of Kaospilot, replacing the founder Uffe Elbæk. In 2007 he was also appointed rector. Kaospilot is an internationally recognized school of entrepreneurship and leadership that have inspired numerous of educations and schools around the world and trained thousands of leaders.

Windeløv-Lidzélius is a professor of strategy, innovation and business design at Elisava Design and Technology School in Barcelona since 2022 and at Saint Paul Business School in São Paolo, since 2018. He is an associate professor in leadership and entrepreneurship at The Stockholm School of Dramatic Arts since 2019.

Windeløv-Lidzélius frequently keynotes corporate and educational events[4], including three TEDx-events[5][6][7]. He is also a frequent columnist and media commentator[8][9].

Windeløv-Lidzélius got his Kaospilot degree in 1998, his MBA from Heriot-Watt University in 2001 and his PhD from Tilburg University in 2019.

Publications

Windeløv-Lidzélius is the author of several articles and books on the topics of leadership, strategy and innovation. Examples are Developing Capacity for Innovation in Complex Systems[10], Profiles in Strategy[11] and Innovation in Complex Systems[12].

Other

Windeløv-Lidzélius has been on several boards, think-tanks, and committees. For instance, he was a member of the academic board of Moebio, under Biocat, an organization that coordinates and promotes the healthcare and life sciences sector in Catalonia and a member of Forum d’Avignon, a think tank aiming at bringing together the cultural and economic sectors and proposing new ideas and solutions at global, European and local levels. He is a fellow of The Taos Institute[13], a virtual educational organization founded in Taos, New Mexico, USA.

In 2015, he was a judge at the European Commission Social Innovation Competitions[14] and the same year, he was honored at the Tribeca Disruptive Innovation Awards Innovation[15].

Personal life

He is married to the documentary film maker Helle Windeløv-Lidzélius[16] and has four children. He currently lives in Denmark.
