Christopher Wolford (born 1972/1973) is an American pentecostal pastor from Grundy, Virginia known for handling snakes in church services. He is the pastor of the House of the Lord Jesus church in Squire, West Virginia, which is said to be the last church involved in snake handling services in West Virginia.[1] Prior to becoming the pastor of the House of the Lord Jesus church, Wolford was addicted to drugs.[2] In August 2019, Wolford was bitten by an Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake in the left arm during a church service at his church, which nearly killed him. His father and brother died of rattlesnake bites during religious services in 1983 and 2012, respectively.[3]
