Chris Armes is an American singer-songwriter active in the Americana music and Punk rock genres. As the singer/songwriter for Agent 51 and The Rattlesnake Aces, Chris has released 5 albums. As a solo artist, Armes has released 1 album.

Biography

Born in San Diego, Armes grew up in Southern California U.S. before moving to Cheyenne, Wyoming. While traveling the rodeo circuit with his family he was introduced to country and folk music. Upon moving back to San Diego, Chris formed punk bands in his high school years, most notably Agent 51 where he attended school with Tom DeLonge and played shows with Blink182. From 1997-2011 Chris released 3 albums and 1 E.P. with Agent 51, eventually signing to Billie Joe Armstrong's label Adeline Records.[1] In 2011, he released 1 full album with his rock band The Rattlesnake Aces on an independent label.[2]

After a brief move to Nashville in 2017, Chris returned to San Diego In 2021 releasing his first solo album Ocotillo Rose[3] Ocotillo Rose features Ted Russell Kamp on bass and vocal harmonies as well.

Chris is also an Americana Music Association Member, 2021 Awards Nominee, San Diego Music Awards Winner,[4] and member of NSAI ([Nashville Songwriters Association International).
