Chony Basnet (born February 5, 1999) is an Indian rapper, lyricist, performer, and taekwondo martial artist. He is known for his music in Hindi and Marathi, as well as his achievements in national-level taekwondo competitions.[1]
Early life and background
Chony Basnet was born into an Indian-Nepali family in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India. Inspired by Jackie Chan movies in his early childhood, he developed a keen interest in martial arts. Recognizing his passion, his father enrolled him in a local taekwondo club, where Chony began formal training.
He trained under the guidance of his elder brother, Santosh Basnet, a coach for the Indian National Taekwondo Team. Through years of disciplined practice, Chony achieved the rank of 3rd Dan Black Belt and became a multiple time national champion in taekwondo.
Music career
