Chonchawan is a small village of 1675 hectares in Sayla Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chonchawan depends on JALOR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Chonchawan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Chonchawan's pin code is 343022[4], and village code is 02271900. The area of Chonchawan is segregated as 528 hectares irrigated area, 711 hectares unirrigated, the 60 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 375.51 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Chonchawan is a census village in the district of Jalor, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1978 and has total administration over 328 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jalor to sell ghee and make their living.
