Chitai is a small village of 768 hectares in Parbatsar Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chitai depends on Parbatsar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 228.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Chitai is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Chitai's pin code is 341512[4], and village code is 01871200. The area of Chitai is segregated as 228 hectares irrigated area, 498 hectares unirrigated, the 20 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 22 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Chitai is a census village in the district of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1483 and has total administration over 304 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

The workforce is 420 male, 254 female with 374 (55.49%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 326 males and 48 females. 131 males and 22 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 125 male and 18 female agricultural labor. 300 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Parbatsar and Nagaur to sell earthen pots and make their living.
