Chimra is a small village of 1773 hectares in Sanchore Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chimra depends on SANCHORE, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Chimra is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Chimra's pin code is 343041[4], and village code is 02313900. The area of Chimra is segregated as 331 hectares irrigated area, 1320 hectares unirrigated, the 92 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 30 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Chimra is a census village in the district of Jalor, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1301 and has total administration over 211 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of SANCHORE and Jalor to sell ghee and make their living.
