歷史 HISTORY

Minesh Valand 原籍印度，於 2009 年搬到台灣後，非常想念印度菜的味道。為了滿足這份對家鄉的懷念，他開始為自己和朋友烹飪印度料理。由於他的烹飪深受歡迎，加上當時印度料理在台灣並不盛行，他決定於 2015 年 1 月在台中鄰近美術館的存中街開設了第一家淇里思餐廳。餐廳迅速受到大家的喜愛，並且在幾年內，淇里思便在台灣擴展至五個地點，包括存中街、朝富路、新竹、崇德路和大坑的分店。

History

Minesh Valand, originally from India, moved to Taiwan in 2009 and found himself missing the flavors of Indian cuisine. To address this, he began cooking Indian food for himself and his friends. Inspired by the positive reception to his cooking and the demand for authentic Indian cuisine in Taiwan, Valand opened the first Chilliesine restaurant in Taichung in January 2015. The restaurant quickly became popular, and over the next few years, Chilliesine expanded to five locations across Taiwan, including branches in Taichung, Hsinchu, Chongde Road, and Dakeng.

Food

Chilliesine’s menu includes a range of Indian dishes spanning both North and South Indian traditions. The restaurant serves a range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, including appetizers, soups, naans, curries, barbeque items, drinks, and mocktails. Chilliesine is noted for its bold flavors, use of fresh ingredients, and adherence to traditional Indian cooking techniques. The restaurant provides dine-in, takeaway, and delivery services, along with catering services for events such as parties, corporate gatherings, and weddings.

VZEN Vegetarian

In addition to its main restaurant line, Chilliesine opened Vzen Vegetarian, a vegetarian-focused restaurant in Taiwan in 2024, as an extension of Valand's dedication to healthy living, yoga, and veganism. This establishment provides an all-vegetarian menu aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle while reflecting traditional Indian flavors.
