Chidozie “Chido” Nwokocha is a Nigerian-American actor.
Early life and education
Born on May 17th to Nigerian parents, Chido grew up in Sacramento, California.[1] He attended Ohio University on a football scholarship, where he played wide receiver.[2] After college, he played professionally for the San Jose Sabercats of the Arena Football League. When a knee injury cut his football career short, he became passionate about pursuing acting.[3]
Career
In 2019, Chido was cast as a series regular in the BET show Sistas, written, directed and produced by Tyler Perry.[4][5] He has also appeared in a recurring role in TNT’s Murder in the First, and guested on such series as Hawaii Five-0, Scorpion, Shooter, The Night Shift, and The Rookie. Film credits include Destroyer, Bad Therapy and Top Gun: Maverick.[6][7]
