Chhor is a small village of 7598 hectares in Fatehgarh Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chhor depends on JAISALMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Chhor is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Chhor's pin code is 345027[4], and village code is 02067300. The area of Chhor is segregated as 415.82 hectares unirrigated, the 6947.36 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 234.65 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Chhor has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Chhor is a census village in the district of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1307 and has total administration over 263 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jaisalmer to sell cot and make their living.
