Chhinod is a small village of 516 hectares in Kishanganj Tehsil in Baran district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chhinod depends on Baran, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 0.88% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Chhinod is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Chhinod's pin code is 325216[4], and village code is 03902300. The area of Chhinod is segregated as 395.03 hectares irrigated area, 6.49 hectares unirrigated, the 9.64 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 36.11 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Baran to sell earthen pot and make their living.
