Chhapri Kalan is a small village of 725 hectares in Merta Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chhapri Kalan depends on Didwana, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, which is 361.46% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Chhapri Kalan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Chhapri Kalan's pin code is 341511[4], and village code is 01777100. The area of Chhapri Kalan is segregated as 361.46 hectares irrigated area, 328.88 hectares unirrigated, the 14.03 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 20.53 hectare area not available for cultivation.
