Chekla is a small village of 1503 hectares in Bhinmal Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chekla depends on BHINMAL, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 120.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Chekla is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Chekla's pin code is 307515[4], and village code is 02305500. The area of Chekla is segregated as 120 hectares irrigated area, 59 hectares unirrigated, the 118 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 163 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BHINMAL and Jalor to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
